Creating Memories that last ...

My signatory - ‘The Story of Your Lives’

When taking private portraits of individuals and couples I am often faced with the customer being unsure how to pose! So I decided to learn myself how to pose, in order to help individuals and couples how to pose authentically and natural. This usually works well as an icebreaker with people that feel uneasy with posing and expressing feelings and is resulting in a relaxed shooting session with great results – and big fun!

As a professional photographer I see this as my key role beyond pointing and shooting. When shooting engagements and weddings I am an empathetic partner to my customers. I ensure that together we will be creating ever lasting memories that go beyond just that one magic day but intend to capture the story of your lives, your individual past lives, your walk together on that day, but also to produce a little glimpse of what the future may hold for your life together. In that sense the wonderful pictures from that day will be embedded in a wider story – your story.

Therefore it is very important that I sit together with the couples and listen to their past lives, their plans for that day, but also to their expectations for a future together. Needless to say that key family members, friends, and the guests will be pictured in a non-intrusive way – just in the mood of the day. I will best succeed in capturing the real mood and magic of that day if the people around me forget that I am there. HGA
